2-Day International Virtual Symposium on Yoga concludes

The two-day International Virtual Symposium on the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic and the role of yoga, concluded successfully on Friday evening.

Participants from nine countries participated in the virtual webinar organised by the Faculty of Yogic Sciences Shoolini University.  

Ms. Agnela Mazrekar from Jamaica said “yoga is very popular in Jamaica and people prefer to learn yoga from Indian instructors”. 

In the time of Corona virus more people have become inclined towards yoga and started practice yoga at home said Mr. Sanjay from Indonesia.  

Pointing out that the theme for this year’s sixth edition of International Yoga Day is, ‘Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family’, Mr. Sharad Munde from Venezuela said”there is huge demand of yoga experts in the world and they have lots of job opportunities in the field of yoga”. 

Dr. Nikhila Hiremath from Namibia shared her views on the benefits of Yoga Kriyas for a healthy mind and body. Ms. Sapna from Dubai expressed her thoughts on the popularity of yoga in Dubai and talked about huge demand for yoga experts in Dubai. 

All the participants appreciated Shoolini University’s initiative to organise the virtual Symposium and they all were very happy to visit Shoolini campus in the near future.

Dr. Subodh Sourabh Singh, Head of Faculty of Yogic Sciences said “we are doing all our efforts to promote Yoga education and we will continuously do this in future as well. He added that the meaning of Yoga is union of the individual soul with the Universal soul, with the whole humanity, with nature and with oneself. We are trying to connect with whole world”. 

He also shared that all participants has been registered in the contest “My Life My Yoga” Introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Dr. Mala Tripathi Assistant Professor Yogic Science, Shoolini University said”Yoga is very beneficial for soul and body and in the time of pandemic we all should stay healthy by doing more Yoga Kriyas”.
