‘Belletristic Shoolini loves Literature Society’ of the Department of English Shoolini University, hosted an e-book launch on Friday. The e-book titled, ‘The Twentieth Century: Literary Signposts and Watersheds’ is an anthology of essays edited and compiled by Dr. Purnima Bali and Mr. Neeraj Pizar, English Faculty at Shoolini University, under the guidance of Prof Manju Jaidka.
The event was chaired by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P K Khosla, who shared his insights about literature and life with the participants and the viewers.
The e-book is a compilation of papers on the literature of the twentieth century which were presented in an International Virtual Literature Seminar organized by the Department of English earlier in May 2020. The collection is peer-reviewed and includes some essays by eminent academicians around the world. During the session, the contributors of the e-book introduced themselves and shared their experiences while affecting to this publication.
Prof Manju Jaidka, Head of the Department started the session with a brief introduction of the edited book wherein she talked about the importance of going back to the basics. She encouraged everyone to actively participate in all their literary activities. Dr Purnima Bali, one of the co-authors of the e-book thanked everyone who was involved in the literary journey. Neeraj Pizar also talked about the exciting journey he went through during the process.
In the concluding remarks Prof. Manju Jaidka shared some of the plans and literary activities that the Department wishes to execute in the near future.
