“Together for Education” a webinar series conducted by Notebook becomes very popular amongst educators, parents and students


India, June 2020:
 Notebook, one of the fastest growing online ed-tech platform providing digital content for more than 8 Lac students, has had tremendous success in the webinar series titled “TOGETHER FOR EDUCATION”.  The Webinars have been taking place twice a week (Wednesdays & Saturdays) for the last two months. Notebook has collaborated with principals, senior educationists all over the world to build a platform where ideas, experiences, learnings are shared and discussed.

The Webinars has had over 5000 + participants and over 100 speakers globally. The webinar is presided by Achin Bhattacharyya Founder and CEO Notebook and Phillip Burrett, ex-Deputy Headmaster Doon School who is also a senior advisor to Notebook.

Notebook has chosen a variety of contemporary topics ranging from “Bridging the Digital Divide”, “The Art of Expression”, “Levelling the playing field” where Principals from Varanasi, Parwanoo, Dehradun, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune shared their experiences and suggested mechanism to navigate complex situations.

Anshu Mor, stand-up comedian, writer, storyteller, spoke on the topic of “Road not taken” along Padma Shri Ajeet Bajaj. They spoke about the risks they took in their journey to do something which their heart wanted. Their advice to all the participants was to complete the basic education before they do something different as it helps in creating the fundamentals for navigating the road not taken. Sandhya Shekhar, makeup artist and Sinjita Roy, dancer, who is based out of Melbourne were also speakers in the session.

The webinars have had global presence, with eminent school principals from Jeddah, Dammam, USA share their experiences on topics such as “Managing Multicutural Classrooms”, “Navigating Peer pressure” etc. Participants from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, USA, Netherlands, Lagos, Qatar, Sweden, Belgium have been regular attendees of the sessions contributing their learnings from the regions.

Another interesting topic was on “Nurturing creativity”, where Nikitha Gandhi, the famous Bollywood singer, along with her mother Dr Nipa Gandhi, spoke about their journey. It was an interesting conversation between the mother daughter duo of how encouragement, patience and trust was key to find success.

Recently Ramkrishna Mission, Gwalior, announced their collaboration with Notebook to be India’s first 100% on-line school for the current academic year. Swami Supradiptananda made the announcement on the session “Digital Education – the new normal”. He shared how his teachers and students have partnered along with Notebook to adopt Digital Education.

Achin said he and his team are excited, honoured and humbled to be able to create a platform, which has been adopted by so many people globally.  The feedback received from the participants has been encouraging for Notebook to continue many more such sessions. Notebook is further evaluating ways to broaden the platform to make lives easier and engaging for teachers, students and help them transition to the new way of life.
