Turning the long lock-in period in the wake of coronavirus pandemic into an opportunity, Shoolini University has taken the initiative to reach out to experts, celebrities, and opinion makers through a variety of webinars.
The University has conducted over a hundred webinars during the last three months not only for its own faculty and teachers but also for the teaching community across the country.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla, who has been hosting the webinars, said over one lakh school teachers have participated in a series of webinars called “Ideas that matter”. Well known motivational speaker and a former IAS officer Mr. Vivek Atray co-hosts the series.
The schools are offered a few ideas on which their teachers would like to interact. “The concept behind the series is to create a platform for exchange of ideas and to enhance knowledge base”, Prof Khosla said and added that it has proved an effective way to inspire students through their teachers.
He has also been hosting another successful series called Yogananda Virtual Guru series. Those who have appeared in the series include Lt Governor of Puducherry Dr. Kiran Bedi who also has the distinction of being the first lady officer of the Indian Police Service. Among other celebrities who have interacted with students and faculty are national cricket hero Yuvraj Singh, famous Pakistan singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and popular Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi.
Besides them, a number of leading academicians and industry leaders have participated in the series. So far about 40 such webinars have been organised.
Yet another series is called “Expert Talks” in which experts from various fields participate and interact with the audience.
The University has organised several virtual international seminars including those on yoga, literature, and experiments being conducted to find prevention and cure of COVID-19.
Prof Khosla said the University has taken several other pioneering steps like organising symposiums, holding academic council meeting online and even organising virtual farewell parties for its passing out students.
Shoolini University, which was the first to start regular classes and had gone completely online within three days of the lockdown, has successfully conducted end term examinations online and is ready to declare results by the coming Friday.

विश्वविद्यालय ने कई आभासी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठियों का आयोजन किया है, जिनमें योग, साहित्य, और कोविद -19 की रोकथाम और उपचार की खोज आदि शामिल है।
प्रो खोसला ने कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय ने कई अन्य अग्रणी कदम उठाए हैं जैसे संगोष्ठी का आयोजन, अकादमिक परिषद की बैठक को ऑनलाइन आयोजित करना और यहां तक कि अपने पास आउट छात्रों के लिए वर्चुअल फेअरवैल पार्टियों का आयोजन करना।
शूलिनी विश्वविद्यालय, जो कि लॉकडाउन के तीन दिनों के भीतर पूरी तरह से ऑनलाइन हो गया था, और नियमित कक्षाएं शुरू करने वाला क्षेत्र का पहला संस्थान बना, ने सफलतापूर्वक अंतिम परीक्षाओं का ऑनलाइन आयोजन किया और आगामी शुक्रवार तक परिणाम घोषित करने के लिए तैयार है।
