In next five days weather will remain mainly dry with clouds.Maximum temperature
29-30oC & minimum temperatures 18-19 oC is expected .Relative humidity will
remain between 36 to 81 per cent and wind speed between 6-7 km/h from NE
direction.
General Advisory
Where the crops like tomato, maize etc. has already been harvested or near to harvest farmers are
advised to collect the soil samples from these fields and get soil tested for different nutrients before
sowing of rabbi crops to percure recommended fertilizers.
Crop Advisory
Vegetables:- Cabbage, Cauliflower : Stage: Field Prepration / Sowing
Prepare nursery beds and perform sowing of seed of cabbage cauliflower and other Cole crops perform
the sowing of seed of early garden pea varieties. Farmers are advised before sowing treat the seed of
cabbage cauliflower ,broccoli with hot water 50 C for 30minutes and streptocycline 100 ppm for 30
minutes before sowing in nursery.
Fruit Crop:-Pomegrante, Apple Stage: harvesting/Peaking
Remove the all the bushes from the orchards and collect them in a corner out of the orchards or in a
courtyard for self use or destroy them. Continue the picking of Apple fruit and finish as soon possible
and keep the orchards neat and clean.
Soil Science:-
In lower area of Himachal where the tomato and maize crops has already been harvested there
farmers are advised to collect the soil samples from these fields and get tested for different nutrients
before sowing the Rabi crops for percuring the recommended fertilizers and nutrients.
Bee Keeping:-
In Himachal Pradesh the attack of ringle/ wasp insect on the bee colonies is continue and there is a
chances of increase of this attack so farmers are advised to keep a bird eyes on the bee colonies of
their apiaries. To control these insect kill them with the help of a wooden strip or housefly flapper.
